The book "America: A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction" is the mist hilarious book I've ever read. Written by Comedy Central's the Daily Show's host, Jon Stewart, and featuring other Comedy Central faux news reporters, the book covers most things about the US government and democracy worth knowing, all in a hilarious way. In textbook format, the book actually does help you learn some stuff. Recommended for 7th grade and up, because you need a 'vocabulary' and you need to somewhat understand politics.

I read Summer Ball by Mike Lupica. It is a basketball book that I would reccomend for middle schoolers who like basketball. I would also recommend you to read Travel Team first because Summer Ball is a sequel. Summer Ball is about a boy named Danny Walker. He loves basketball and decides to go to a basketball camp with his friends. He faces his basketball foe, a college coach, and more. If you want to know the rest, find the book in probably any library around.
